Not
good to fast on the go in a situation like this, because the Prophet
sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam saw a man who drowned and people milling
around. The Prophet asked, “Why him?” They replied, “Fasting.” He said, “Not good fast on the way.” (HR. Bukhari and Muslim). This hadith is common to anyone who has difficulty to fast on the go.Thus
we say, “If you travel in the time it’s easy – as it says the
questioner – so as not to burden many a traveler to fast if fasting does
not incriminate him, the better he’s fast.”
